Conference announcement

Dear Participants,

Implementation science is rapidly gaining global attention as a field that transforms evidence into real-world impact through effective strategies. While high-income countries have led its early development, Asia is now emerging as a dynamic hub of growth and innovation in this field. We are delighted to announce the inaugural Asian Conference on Implementation Science (ACIS 2025), to be held from November 11–14, 2025, at Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China. The conference theme is “Advancing Implementation Science in Asia: Bridging Research and Health for Five Billion People.”

During this landmark event, we will officially launch the Asian Society for Implementation Science (ASIS), a regional network bringing together leading experts and practitioners from more than 18 Asian countries to advance implementation research and practice.

We warmly invite you to join us for this important milestone in strengthening implementation science across Asia and beyond.

I. Conference Content

Implementation Science, as an interdisciplinary field, integrates methods and perspectives from public health, clinical medicine, nursing, management, and policy sciences. It is dedicated to exploring how to systematically translating research findings and evidence-based practices into routine care, thereby accelerating the uptake of evidence-based practices, improving the quality of health services, facilitating policy translation, and advancing social development.

Coinciding with the establishment of the Asian Society for Implementation Science (ASIS), this conference features a rich and diverse program that combines plenary sessions, thematic symposia, special sessions, and concurrent sessions. These sessions will cover a wide range of topics and formats, providing multiple opportunities for engagement, collaboration, and capacity building. Leading experts from around the world will present cutting-edge research and share practical experiences in advancing implementation science. Thematic symposia will focus on key issues such as implementation research, public health policy, and practice. Special sessions will include a “Meet-the-Editors” session, featuring chief editors from leading journals in global health and implementation science, offering participants an opportunity for direct dialogue and professional guidance. Concurrent thematic sessions will cover a broad range of topics to meet the varied interests of participants. The conference will also host capacity-building workshops, where leading implementation science experts will provide on-site feedback on oral presentations to foster interactive learning and enhance participants’ research capacity.

In addition, the conference will recognize outstanding posters and oral presentations, providing a valuable platform for young scholars to showcase their innovative work and engage with peers and mentors.
